Some information about our small dairy operation: At Earthwise Farm & Forest, we have 1 milk cow and we milk our cows by hand. During the growing season, our cows (and young stock) are managed in a rotational grazing system. The cows and young stock graze together on a 100% forage diet (pasture) with salt, kelp and minerals available at all times. Our cows are bred using AI (artificial insemination). About 2 weeks into a cow's lactation, we switch from milking twice a day to once a day milking. We are a Tier 1 Raw Milk Dairy and sell our milk (pre-ordered) from our Farm Store.
