Certified Organic Pasture-Raised Chicken
Our pasture raised meat birds are certified organic by Vermont Organic Farmers (VOF). As a certified organic farm, our birds are raised on a diet free of GMO's (Genetically Modified Organisms), antibiotics, or hormones. We manage our birds on pasture in a rotational grazing system, providing them with lush green grass, organic grain, kelp, insects, clean water, fresh air, and sunlight.
About Our Organic Meat Birds
The French Freedom Ranger Breeding stock (www.freedomrangerhatcher.com) produces slow growing broilers. These broilers are strong, robust and are highly suitable for our organic, pastured environment. The genetic stock is derived from the American and European old heritage breed of chicken and was developed in the early 1960’s to meet the highest standards of the French Label Rouge Free Range program.
Two generations GMO-FREE - Our Freedom Ranger chicks come from birds who were raised on Non-GMO grain, so this years' meat birds have 2 generations of a GMO-Free existence.

Farm Fresh Pasture Raised Eggs
Our layer birds are managed on pasture during the growing season and have access to the outdoors year round. To complement their pasture diet, we offer them kitchen & garden scraps and organic grain. In the winter time we continue to offer them plenty of food scraps, organic grain and organic hay.
Our eggs are GMO-FREE, but not certified organic, due to the food scraps that we feed them - provided by Chef's Market. Most of those veggie scraps are probably organic, but we cannot guarantee it. All the grain that they are fed is, however, certified organic.
